A renowned high-end car sales agency registers dozens of cars a day through its executives. Registering them takes minutes since, among the data, they have to manually enter the 17-digit VIN number and input it into another system to complete their manual registration. The challenge was to reduce this time and replace their manual paper-based registration method with a custom mobile app available for their advisors.
Developing a mobile app integrated with the VIN system and AI recognition
By identifying that capturing the vehicle’s VIN took more time and generated errors from copying and misreading the 17-digit numbers, we designed a VIN photo reading service using Gemini AI. It receives the photograph of the VIN plate and returns the correct number. We connected this information to their VIN database to auto-complete the data and integrated it into a simple mobile app for the executive.
